A 3-story historic Swiss building moved on rollers: Time-Lapse - Magzium

The expansion of a local train station in Zurich required demolition of a 123 year old building, a part if Oerlikon factory. But because of its cultural importance a petition was filed by people to preserve it.
This petition resulted in a decision to save the building by moving it to a new location. This required a 10 month preparation by the engineers to replace supporting basement by steel pillars and building of a carriage (or rather rollers) to move the building. It was moved 200 feet from its original position over the course of 19 hrs using hydraulic presses. This remarkable engineering was captures in a time-lapse by Swiss photographer Patrick Gautschy.
