Re:Beat is an app that lets you record and send a digital copy of your heartbeat to a loved one. You can Record your pulse with Re:Beat by simply placing the tip of your index finger on your iPhone’s camera, or by tapping the screen. The app works by harnessing the camera on your smartphone to the detect the pulse in your finger.
The resulting animation of your heart beat then can be sent to anyone with a mobile phone or web browser through SMS, email, Twitter or Facebook.
The app was created by Swedish mobile VoIP service Rebtel, and is available for iOS and Android for free.
