Vimeo introduces a new rating system starting from today - Magzium

Vimeo the video hosting site has introduced a new rating system starting from today. This rating system segregates all the videos on the site into three categories – All ages, Mature or Not yet rated.
In order to allow accessing of videos for children and to people at work places Viemo has introduced this content rating system. This means from now on content up-loaders /creators will be asked to inform Vimeo if their videos consist of violence, nudity or illegal substances. These videos can still be uploaded as long as they comply with Vimeo’s guidelines.
This is just the first step by Vimeo to make its service accessible to all audience. Its eventual goal is to create a system where interested users can opt out of mature content. It’s not surprising to see Vimeo coming up with screening content in the wake of Apples approach to adult content. Vimeo’s IOS app doesn’t have this rating system yet, but its not far before it makes its debut there.
