A crowdsourced search engine for Mega - Magzium

Mega‘s emphasis on privacy made it impossible for Google or for that matter any existing search engine to index files. Mega itself is clueless as to what files are on its servers and hopes to keep it this way. But this doesn’t seem to stop a few developers from trying to build a search engine Mega-Search.me. Since they can’t index Mega’s servers, it allows people to add links to their files on Mega.
Mega-Search works pretty well. It allows you to search for all extensions. Just type in your search term click the link of your choice. You will be redirected to Mega, where you are given an option to either download the file or import it to your file locker on the service. The feature-set in this website includes anonymous voting by users to move the links up or down. There’s also an “infringement” button on the main navigation bar that just takes you to Mega’s own copyright notice.
Though Mega hasn’t given any official statement about this it definitely has a reason to worry. We might just have to see how long Mega will allow this site to stay online. Until then you may search for the files of your choice here.
